I ask for a sign

A signal received

Transmitted

When you least expect it

When you want to believe

And you don’t know

If it is real

A leap of faith

I don’t know what to make

Of this

Of anything

I have to see it to believe it

But words don’t appear

In the sky

Written out for me

As if communication

Was always based on

Some written language

Something is written

In the stars

I have to believe

That I don’t have to try

As hard as I try

I don’t have to cry

Tears never resolved anything

When coincidental events

Occur with some significance

What is the meaning?

Why do things happen?

Why are emotions based on thought

When some people think too much?

What is the message?

I do not understand
