Pointless Politics

Politics is hard to escape
In a government town
Everyone seems
To have hidden agendas
Everyone seems to have some plan
Some way of sticking it to 'the man'
Well I can
Think of a million different reasons
Why politics is pointless
Because we shouldn't be trying
To stab each other in the back
Just to get what we want
Because it's certainly
Not what we need
To be teaching the next generation
The evils of temptation
Dishonesty or greed
