When did I give up my right
To freedom?
Was this a choice I had the right
To make?
Was there even an alternative
To take?
Why do people have to take?
Until there is nothing left to take?
Why do they stab you in the heart
Until your heart breaks?
How much is one person
Supposed to take?
Locked in a cage
Because I am supposed to be responsible
For everyone's well being
When I don't seem to have
A well being
Someone told me
That I don't have the right
To think about myself
When given too much responsibility
The thing is that responsibility
Wouldn't get to me
If I were allowed to think about myself
While still being responsible
