Fuchsia Flamboyance

The blossoms on the crab apple trees
Announcing the arrival of spring
In fuchsia flamboyance
Petals unfolding
Fluttering to the ground
Dotting green grass
Blankets for ants
Rows upon rows
Spaced out to perfection
Wide enough to walk between
Underneath the canopy
All I can smell as I walk through
Passing by an orchard
I always admire this
After the blinding white
Of a winter I have already
Forgotten
